Privacy Policy
Last updated August 31, 2026
Stay On is a single-player driving game for iPhone, built by Trevor Seitz ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects and why. The short version: there is no account, we never ask for your name or email, and we do not sell your data.
What the app stores on your device
The following are saved only in the app's local storage on your phone and are never transmitted to us:
- Your best distance and total number of runs
- Your sound on/off preference and chosen difficulty
- Whether you have purchased the ad-free unlock
Deleting the app removes all of it.
Anonymous analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the game is played so we can improve it. It records gameplay events such as a run starting or ending, distance reached, level, chosen difficulty, whether a run set a new best, sound toggles, and steps in the purchase flow. Alongside those events it collects general technical information: device model, operating system version, screen size, language, and an approximate region derived from your IP address. A randomly generated identifier is stored so repeat sessions from the same device can be grouped together.
This data is not linked to your identity. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or health data.
Crash and error reports
We use Sentry to capture crashes and errors so we can fix them. A report includes the error itself, the device model, the operating system version, and the app version. It does not include personal information.
Advertising
The free version of the app shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect device information and advertising identifiers, subject to your iOS privacy settings. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will see a consent choice from Google on first launch. Purchasing the ad-free unlock stops all ads and the ad SDK is no longer used.
Purchases
The optional ad-free unlock is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to verify the purchase and remember that your device is entitled to the ad-free experience. RevenueCat receives the transaction receipt and an anonymous app-user identifier.
Children
Stay On is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
- Use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to control ad tracking.
- Buy the ad-free unlock to remove advertising entirely.
- Delete the app to erase everything stored locally.
- Contact us at the address below to ask what analytics data is associated with your device identifier, or to request its deletion.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated and the new version will be posted on this page.
